Wedding Invitation Mockup
After so many months, we finally have a wedding invitation!

Now that our wedding's only six months away, we are set to mail and distribute our invites sometime in July. With all the kaartehan that I wanted like wet embossing and gold foil stamping, our supplier, PRINTCAFE in UP Town Center, required a 5-week lead time for the printing. During this process, I learned that proofing is important when it comes into details. We had 2 proofing sessions with two different shades of green and they weren't that shade we were eyeing for! But it's fixed now, so it's just a matter of waiting for a few more weeks.

Why Emerald Green and Blush Pink?
First of, this wasn't our first motif. I settled for a boring palette which I found on Pinterest then it all just came down to this. It's Bani's favorite color and emerald green with a little hint of blush looks elegant to me and it's refreshing to the eye. It's earthy and that's what we wanted for the wedding to feel like.

Other updates as of June 1, 2016 • 6 months to go!

  • Our wedding designer, Boy Kastner Santos, measured us for my gown and for Bani's suit few days ago at his shop in Bacoor, Cavite. It was a long journey but definitely worth it. I'm going back to his shop in August for my corset fitting and for my maid of honor's measurements. Seriously, how exciting is this!!
  • As for the bridesmaids' and junior bridesmaids' dresses, I really wanted Tito Boy to design their dresses but we settled with an emerald green infinity dress from Miss Dressy
  • Khaija, one of my bridesmaids, is planning an aerial fitness party as my bridal shower. FUN! Despite of her being in London, she never fails to amaze me with all her ideas for the wedding. I'm so grateful to have someone who shares the same excitement as I do!
  • I don't know when but we will be shooting our pre-nup soon! Not really looking forward to it haha probably because Bani and I aren't into those cheesy pictorials.
  • Sometime this month, I'm meeting our ceremony/floral stylist to finalize our theme and motif.
  • All suppliers are all set. Just waiting for our ocular schedules and we're ready to roll!

Things gradually changed as we went along but that's okay. Change is sometimes good. :)
