Exactly 13 months ago, we treated ourselves a spontaneous adventure after working on a few projects for 6 months straight.
Originally, we wanted to go to Ilocos or somewhere up north. We invited some friends to join us, unfortunately, it was just us five who were available that month. And since we all lived together (except for Nikki, who lives one street away), it was easier to plan the trip.
We settled to go to Caramoan located in Bicol which 8-hour bus ride from Manila. (Thanks to my friend Ienne for the recommendation!)
After contacting several tour guides on the internet, I found Caramoan Adventures on Facebook that offered us a Php 2,900/person tour for 3D/2N. The page is owned and still handled by a Caramoan-licensed tour guide named Genaro Galang.
And I even booked our trip only a few days before our scheduled trip. So smooth transaction talaga.
Our 2,900-package includes the following:
- 1 AC room accommodation for 2 nights good for 5 pax
- 6 meals (2x breakfast, lunch and dinner)
- 2-day boat rental for island hopping with lifevest provisions
- Transfer services within Caramoan (Pick-up and Drop-off, port/van/bus terminal)
- Tour guide fees
- Island entrance, environmental and port fees
Seriously, 2,900/person for all those isn't that bad!
There was a little bit of hiking during this trip which also helped justify the package we paid for.
I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures because we were on a boat most of the time and I was too scared to bring out my phone.
Though some parts of Caramoan were closed due to TV reality 'Survivor's filming, that didn't affect our island hopping at all. I even forgot how many islands we visited because there too many!
For those who love island hopping, beach bumming, and some hiking, then this place is must-see!
